Computing
At Kings Avenue Primary School, we aim to give each pupil the opportunity to apply and develop their technological understanding and skills across a wide range of situations and tasks. Pupils are involved in blogging, film-making, coding, debugging and many other technology related activities. Initially pupils are taught that an Algorithm is a set of instructions. This is learnt through a variety of ways including programming bee bots and then progressing onto more complex algorithms.
We ensure that our pupils leave school equipped with the skills and motivation to become effective, productive, creative and safe users of technology. With the knowledge that Computing and ICT will undoubtedly continue to form a major part in student’s life at home, in further education and places of work, we ensure that these experiences and abilities that the children are equipped with at King’s Avenue Primary School, are effective and transferable life skills.
